Women Veterans Alliance (WVA) mission: To empower women that have served or are currently serving through networking, career and professional development, and mentorship
WVA was founded in 2014, by Melissa Washington a Navy Veteran who saw a need to bring women veterans together to help empower each other. In collaboration with Veterans Cadre Foundation (VCF), Women Veterans Alliance is a non-profit organization.
The goals of Women Veterans Alliance are:
To Equip women with the tools to pursue a rewarding career
To Empower those women who want to become entrepreneurs
To Encourage women veteran through Mentorship to include young women that want to join the military
To Strengthen the sisterhood bond between women veterans
To Develop and Maintain strong community of women veteran supporters
To Educate the community that Women that have served are Veterans
WVA meets the 3rd Thursday of every month and location rotates throughout Greater Sacramento. The meeting is open to any women that has served or currently serving.
