Currently the Purple Heart Homes organization is made up of volunteers and professionals from all walks of life that share a common belief and a common desire to give back to those who have given so much of their country
Purple Heart Homes is founded by and for our veterans and is operated as 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization founded in 2008 by Dale Beatty, and John Gallina. Both joined the North Carolina National Guard in 1996 and both were severely wounded.
Most of the veterans whose applications have been approved by Purple Heart Homes are service connected disabled veterans that served in WWII, Korea or Vietnam. So, most already own a home that needs modifications like a handicap accessible ramp or a bathroom that needs to be converted into a handicap accessible bathroom.Only on a rare occasion do we build a home from the ground up.
