The "Strawman Report"  was created by 7 of 15 members of the Commission on Care and calls for the privatization of VA medical Services for the men and women who have served America as members of our military service organizations from WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam War, Dessert Storm, Iraq War, Afghanistan war and conflicts that involved military service throughout the world and at home throughout history.

The below petition is signed by American Citizens who want to preserve the present VA Medical services system and its hospitals, medical centers and Community Based Operations nationwide. The undersigned disagree with the recommendations of the Commission on Care and the released Strawman Report that recommends the privatization of VA medical care throughout America, by turning it into a “voucher system” only, and that is scheduled to reach the President’s desk by June 30, 2016.

The below signatories of this petition ask for the intervention of the President of the United States to STOP THE Commission on Care’s recommendations. The proposal does not include the input of the largest Veteran Service Organizations representing millions of veterans who strongly disagree with their proposal, especially those issued in the Strawman Report.

We also ask the United States Senate and Congress to take actions to insure privatization does not replace present VA healthcare services.  We the undersigned sign this petition on behalf of preserving and fixing the problems associated with the present healthcare system managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs because we believe it to be the best system to treat and manage healthcare for our nation's veterans who have served in the Army, Navy, Airforce, Marine Corps, National Guard and Coast Guard.

We ask that the proposal by the Commission on Care be denied and that we find means to grow and make better the current VA Medical care system nationwide.
